‘Duck Dynasty’ Patriarch Phil Robertson Suspended by A&E After Calling Homosexuality a Sin; Outraged Christians Call for Boycott

A&E Networks has suspended indefinitely “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson from its popular reality show after the conservative Christian shared his belief that homosexuality is a sin in the January issue of GQ magazine. However, Robertson’s Christian fans, expressing their outrage on social media, have vowed to boycott the network.
A&E said in a statement Wednesday evening that it was disappointed to read Robertson’s remarks and the “Duck Dynasty” patriarch’s beliefs were personal and not a reflection of the network’s views.
“His personal views in no way reflect those of A&E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely,” reads the statement.
Robertson was barred from filming the reality show, which has been a huge hit for A&E due to the Robertson family’s core Christian fans, many of whom have threatened to boycott the cable network for suspending its leading star.
By Wednesday night, A&E’s official Facebook page had been flooded with comments like those shown below:
“Shame on you A&E! Just because Phil Robertson sticks to his beliefs, that you don’t agree with, you condemn him. He may not be tolerant of the LGBT community, but you are not tolerant of Christians!” – Robert Kruse

You need him a lot more than he needs you, and you better consider that before you take further action. I can only hope that they entire Robertson family will tell you to take it and shove it. In the GQ interview, made available online Wednesday and on newsstands Dec. 24, Robertson makes the colorful, yet blunt remark: “It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man —would be more desirable than a man’s anus. A MAN OF THE EARTH
I must admit that Phil Robertson can be sometimes crude in his manner of speech nevertheless, he is a man that lives by G-d’s Law. He says what he thinks and makes no apology. Read the book “Happy, Happy, Happy” and you will get a much different picture of a man who knew G-d at a level that most people never experience.
A GOOD PROVIDER:
If you’re wondering if Phil Robertson is genuine, you must read “Happy, Happy, Happy” in its entirety. This man is undoubtedly on the right track with it comes to raising children for all of his sons have the highest regard for their dad. Throughout his book you will read that his entire life has been devoted to teaching his sons about respect, team work, nature and ducks. Not only did he show them how to defend themselves in a tough and competitive world, he set an amazing example for them to follow teaching them the laws of the universe. His sons except for Willie saw firsthand how faith in God transformed their Dad from an egotistical man of the world to a G-d-fearing man of humility and kindness. Did you know that Phil has never raised his voice to any of his boys – doesn’t have to!
HE KNOWS HOW TO SURVIVE:
Today, our young people think video games and their cell phones more than they do their family. Their overweight, full of french fries, chicken nuggets, and carbonated sodas. It has become a world of noisy music that makes no sense and children that have become silent and no longer verbally communicate with their families or friends. It is texting madness and sooner or later, parents will have to text their children to get the message across. This is not about surviving but this is about weakening society as a whole. A day with the Duck Commander (Phil Robertson) would bring them back to reality. He is concerned that our young people are slipping away from us lost in a world of “digital” madness and video games. In his world, bringing them back to G-d, family and nature is whats going to save them. Wouldn’t you want a grandparent like Phil to prepare your son or daughter how to survive if the economy crashed and no where to turn?
A man like Phil Robertson is not afraid of being suspended by man’s law but lives to please his maker. A&E will never break the spirit of a G-d fearing man like Phil Robertson. He was a survivor before A&E and he will be a survivor after A&E and with Phil, it has never been about the money. The following scripture should be taken literally as it is the WORD of the almighty G-d. This is not just about homosexuals but is about the things of the world that separate us from the Love of G-d:
1 Cor. 6:9-10, “Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit
the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters,
nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the
covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the
kingdom of God.”
Rom. 1:26-28, “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for
their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27
and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman
and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing
indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their
error. 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer,
God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not
proper.
Lev. 18:22, “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
G-d pronounces a heavy judgment on homosexuals and other forms of sexual perversion. Aids is a disease that G-d has sent to those that defy His law. Only 24% of Americans actually believe that AIDS is a judgement from G-d i.e. sexual perversion. 76% however believe as I do that HIV is a direct result of homosexuality.
Why is it that with all the advanced technology in the medical field that these epidemics of pestilences will not go away? Outside of marriage between a man and a woman, all other is sexual sin. In Hebrews 13:4 it says: “Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled but adulterers and whore-mongers G-d will judge.” Did I say judge???
Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM))a represent
approximately 2% of the United States population, yet are the population
most severely affected by HIV. In 2010, young MSM (aged 13-24 years)
accounted for 72% of new HIV infections among all persons aged 13 to 24, and
30% of new infections among all MSM. At the end of 2010, an estimated
489,121 (56%) persons living with an HIV diagnosis in the United States were
MSM or MSM-IDU.
According to the Center for Disease Control – In 2010 (the latest data) Men
accounted for 76% of all adults and adolescents living with HIV infection at
the end of 2010 in the United States. Men who have sex with men account for
most new and existing HIV infections among men.
Homosexuality is not a disease in G-d’s eyes – it is a curse brought on by defying G-d’s written law. Please keep in mind that Phil never condemned any one person but stood firm on the fact that homosexuality is an abomination to G-d and His laws.
