Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu brushed aside US Secretary of State John Kerry’s warning of more boycotts Sunday, saying that such actions are “immoral and unjustified” and will only “push peace farther away.”

“The attempts to boycott the State of Israel are immoral and unjustified,” Netanyahu said in his opening statement at the cabinet meeting. “Aside from this, they will not accomplish their goal. First of all, they entrench the Palestinians deeper in their positions, pushing peace farther away; and second, no pressure will force me to give up the vital interests of the State of Israel, above all the security of the citizens of Israel.”

Speaking at the Munich Security Conference Saturday, Kerry said failure to reach a peace deal would damage Israel’s capacity to be “a democratic state with the particular special Jewish character that is a central part of the narrative and of the future,” and could lead to more international boycotts.   More>

From the Author:    I’m sure G-d is getting pretty weary of America’s threat to boycott His beloved Israel. This makes me think that the Lord’s return is not far away.

I admire Natanyahu for standing firm in his defense of the people of Israel and he is exactly right in that this only gives the Palestinians more ammunition against Israel and further threatens their hope for security.

The further Kerry goes in defending the Palestinians, the closer America comes to the wrath of G-d. Threatening Israel that if the peace talks fail there will be global boycotts is unmoral and out of character and is giving the US a bad name. I like what Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon said when he responded to Kerry’s threats of a boycott. He said, “we respect Secretary of State Kerry but will not hold talks with a gun to our head. Friends don’t put ultimatums on the security of the state of Isreal.”

Kerry’s agreement means a Palestinian state with borders based on the 1949 Armistice lines and this would mean that 75 to 80 percent of the Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria would remain in their homes even after the agreement. First of all, why are we allowing them to remain in a land that is already theirs?? This is getting more complicated by the day and yielding to the Palestinians is not the way to bring a lasting peace.

The Return of the Lord

Kerry must be careful in his attempts to threaten boycott to the Holy Land as this is not the way to a lasting peace.  Taking their land away will anger the LORD and bring calamity to those that try to take it.  The day of justice is upon us all and it is high time we decided who we will bow down to.  Will we follow G-d or, will we follow man?
