The seven day model of creation leads many to believe that there will be a millennial week of seven days (seven thousand years) from Adam until the end of the seventh millennial reign of Jesus Christ.

The earth was created in six days according to the Word of God. There are two places in scripture that say a day with the Lord is as a thousand years. We read that God rested on the seventh day and likewise He promised a day of rest for His people. This rest will occur under the rule of Jesus when He returns and sets up the promised kingdom on earth for one thousand years. We are told six times in Revelation that this reign on earth will last a thousand years.

Men have thought many times they were in the last days with prophecy being fulfilled. However, three fundamental events had to take place before the return of Jesus Christ, the Messiah..

Do not be misled by false teachers and those that declare they have the gift of prophecy and predict specific dates for Jesus’ return. Many are deceived daily by their warnings due to their ignorance of the scriptures.

Requirements/Events to Jesus’ Return

So, what are these requirements/events that must take place before Jesus returns? Below are at least eight events which I feel must happen before

1. Israel had to become a nation in 1948
2. The Jews had to begin returning to their homeland Israel
3. Great Tribulation –  According to Daniel 9:27 = Matthew 24:21, Jesus must return after a period of Great Tribulation.  During this time, the anti-christ will make his debut and demand that the unsaved take the mark of the beast on either their right hand or their forehead.  In other words, the anti-christ appears.
4. Abomination of Desolation — The Great Tribulation starts 30 days (the 1290 – the 1260 days) after the Abomination of Desolation is stood up on the Temple Mount (Mk 13:14).
5. Temple Mount Sacrifices — Similarly, on the day of the Abomination, daily oblation morning and evening animal sacrifices are to be stopped on the Temple Mount (Dan 12:11).
6. The Sixth Seal — If you read Revelation 6:12-17 carefully you will see that it depicts the entire population in a panic and running for cover in response to signs in the heavens and a gianatic global earthquake on earth shifting the mountains out of their place.  I truly believe that we are presently in the 5th seal.
7. Psalm 83 and Isaiah 17 War.  Before all the above events, a swift war is predicted in the Middle East between Israel and many of her neighbors.  Damascus has not been destroyed yet.
8. The 6 days, 6 thousand years had to be completed coming into the 7th Day,(The Beginning of the 7,000 years from the creation of Adam and Eve (the 21st Century as we know it.)
